  Sarah took the time for me to answer her questions and came up with ideas and suggested area where we can get help and advised on benefits which I wasn't aware of. Sarah highlighted area to take care of my mental health.

  Carers Matter supported me when I was going through difficulties with a loved one with dementia. They helped me financially with support to get carer's allowance and by putting me forward for the Norfolk Millenium funding which allowed me to have free reflexology.

  I cannot begin to explain just how valuable I found the phonecall with Tom. He absolutely understood everything I was speaking to him about and I came off the phone feeling so relieved that finally someone could "understand" my situation and actually listened to me instead of me coming up against a brick wall. He was able to explain to me what he thought I may be entitled to and offered to refer me to the right places for help, also supplying links for extra information too. I would not hesitate at all to recommend this service to other carers'-it is a lifeline!

  I had no idea someone would contact me, but was very impressed with the care and attention that was given to my well being. I was particularly tired at that time, but was reassured help was at hand if needed. Tom was very patient and spent quite a bit of time speaking to me and understood what I was experiencing.

And the first step to that is often ensuring they have someone to listen to them and taking the time to understand their situation.   Spoke to Sarah yesterday , she was extremely friendly and helpful, She understood the problems which are faced by carers and was able to offer advice and support for the future by sending me contact websites. It’s great to know carers matter. Thank you very much.

  I can not begin to thank CMN for the time they have allowed for me to just air my thoughts, whilst navigating a difficult situation with my caring role. I find it very hard to put myself first, but the gentleman I spoke to, made me realise that I have needs too. Sometimes just having someone to talk to, can make a big difference, and I felt listened to throughout. Thank you CMN for your help. You are such a valuable service that I will recommend to all other carers I meet. :)

  Thank you for leaving your feedback. We do recognise that it is so important that you, as a carer, are listened to, supported to recognise you own needs and then given the relevant help with these. And thank you for letting other people know we are here. Many of us who look after someone do not recognise ourselves as a carer, or realise support is available.

  Spoke to Sarah about needing help for caring for my wife. She came up with a care plan and it has lots of helpful links to get help. Started going through the list of supporting weblinks and now feel more reassured help is out there. From being referred it did take about 3 weeks till i got a call. But it was worth the wait.

  Having discovered the website and completed the Carers Form, they have been in contact and offered support in various ways. Although I have good support at present its good to know where I can get additional help and advice when I need it.
