I had an in initial call which was good and led me to believe I could be helped and then the follow up call with an assessor but although it was a good call it left me feeling a bit flat and un helped. I mentioned this in an email that it wasn't quite what I expected and a lady called Sam a supervisor got in touch. She went over things and it turned out there was a bit more they could do based on my initial phone call and I have to say since she took over it has been fantastic. She really cares and goes out of her way to help and get the help that you need. if you don't think it was what you were expecting say so and there are people who will help to put it right or to advise if needed. That makes a great service and I am very pleased with the help and support I am now currently receiving

Thank you for contacting us to let us know that you didn’t feel you had been given the help you needed. We are glad we have been able to act on that, and that you now are pleased with the help and support you are receiving.
It is important to us that you and everyone looking after a family member or friend can get the support they need. And, as you say, that includes carers knowing they can tell us if they feel they haven’t had the support they expect.
Thank you for leaving your review.

The person I spoke to has really good interpersonal skills.
I have received wonderful support from Rebecca at Carers Matter Norfolk regarding my caring role for my husband. We did a Carers Assessment before and her follow up calls to the council and to me to ensure I am ok after my emergency health scare last week. Because of her, a lady called Amy contacted me Adult Social Services to offer support and I am now feeling more at ease to ensure I can continue my caring role safely and for a much longer time, whilst looking after me.

We are glad to have been able to help, And we trust the support and information is of real benefit to you.
I spoke to Hayley. I have several problems supporting my 40 year old son who suffers from psychosis, anxiety and depression. She was very very helpful. Hayley pointed me in the right directions for more help and gave me lots of good advice and tips.I felt completely at ease with Hayley and thought she was a credit to your company. Thankyou so much,it really helped me in a difficult time for me and my son.
After my father passing away, I was unsure of where to turn for help. I was referred to Carers Matter by my mums Occupational Therapist. After speaking to Hayley, she was a wealth of knowledge and has massively helped me to relieve some of the pressure in my day to day life at home and for my care role with my mum! Never be afraid to ask for help, we all need it from time to time! Not only was Hayley very knowledgeable, I also found the Facebook page a wealth of knowledge. I have also been told today that Carers Matter have an Instagram page!!
I contacted Carers Matters for a Carer's assessment but knew that they had a backlog of cases. When they did contact me, both Hayley and Sam were very supportive and understanding of the pressures of caring for my husband who has dementia. I felt I was talking to someone who could really help me. I was provided with a lot of useful information and felt energised after the call.
