  After speaking to Samantha, I felt so much better, As a carer for my husband, I felt I wasn't coping very well, and not reacting in a way that I should, she reassured me that I was doing my best, it was ok to get frustrated it's a natural reaction, she gave me lots of information and suggested places I could try to get some time off on my own, just talking to someone just helps some times thank you

  My wife suffers from PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) and I am finding the task of a carer very exhausting. Hayley from Carers Matter made contact after my wife's Neurology Nurse made a recommendation. We had an hours long discussion about the help available. She sent me some very good links on the internet & I am awaiting to hear of more help that may be forthcoming. I am hoping for some respite to help my tiredness and mental frustrations.

  Thank you so much for everything, Becca - it was good to talk to someone, who listened and supported me. Really appreciate all the support and advice given to me during my carers assessment and afterwards with the links sent to me in email. Thank you so much.

  I spoke with Samantha, who was incredibly helpful! She was a wealth of information and provided me with so many resources to help me with applying for benefits, local volunteer services to help my family and I, as well as preparing an emergency carer plan. A wonderful service for people who are new to caring for family/friends!
