Repeat prescription
26th September 2021I dont understand why the repeat prescription form is now only available Mon-Fri ? At the end of the day, you are not requesting to speak to any one, or get immediate feedback. You are just filling a form out that can be read and replied to at any time. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Care as a holiday maker
4th July 2021While on holiday in Reedham this week I needed to seek a doctor urgently. I contacted Acle Medical Centre and from the first phone call to when I received antibiotics from the dispensary every member of staff I met was professional, respectful and kind. The nurse in the surgery was so compassionate and her care was exceptional. I want to say thank you - you were all amazing.

Frustrating
29th June 2021Used online appointment booking. Nothing available for 7 days. Called surgery for a quick phone call from a doctor. Told that I had to wait the 7 days.

fabulous
30th April 2021I very rarely use the practice and apart from my flu jab, had no experience of the surgery during Covid. I needed a fairly urgent appointment this Tuesday and couldn't have been treated better. Faye took my call and because I was feeling so rough she filled in the on line form without any problem. Dr Noble phoned me within an hour and was both reassuring and sympathetic, telling me to call back if need be and he would make a home visit. Although feeling much better by Thursday, I needed to make a further appointment and again everything went extremely smoothly and this morning (Friday) I saw Dr Fisher who was so friendly, so kind and so very professional and efficient. I know times have been so hard and the practice staff must have been frazzled at times but every member of staff today was cheerful and welcoming. I left feeling confident that I had the best treatment possible. Thank you to all concerned!

Prescriptions
1st April 2021Many of nursing staff at Acle are lovely but we have recently had difficulties with the dispensary service. On several occasions recently prescriptions have not been ready on time (and one was lost) requiring second visits to collect medication. Tonight I arrived at precisely 6.30 (closing time) and although the dispensary window was open and another person was walking away with medication, I was turned away by a member of staff. I explained that this would mean I would now be without my medication until the following Tuesday (it is Easter weekend) I was told that the dispensary had been open since 8.00am and was now closed! The staff member shrugged, walked on and closed the dispensary window. I dare say she was within her rights, had maybe had a difficult day but I felt this was harsh since I was not technically late and had also had problems getting to Acle earlier that day! I have a great deal of respect for our NHS especially under current circumstances but a little more respect and understanding would have gone a long way in this instance. I hope the lack of medication will not result in me feeling or being unwell.

Appointment needed
17th March 2021Came out of hospital last night after heart concerns. Needed to see MY doctor not urgent but needed to be within a couple of days. Today is Wednesday. After telephoning the reception, explaining reasons for needing an appointment Karen ( very helpful and friendly) had to check with the manager was told that because it was to do with the heart had to speak to duty doctor before they would release a telephone conversation for MY doctor for Friday this week. So waited til lunch time for duty doctor to phone which was an absolute waste of time. Only to be told to phone surgery again to arrange appointment with M Y doctor. After another wait in the cue spoke to another receptionist who again put me on hold because she had to speak to her MANAGER who then came back on the phone to tell me an appointment could be made for next Wednesday, a whole week later, why when I was led to believe if I spoke to the duty doctor first I would be able to get an appointment for Friday? So I asked for a message to be passed onto MY doctor and once again told to wait whilst receptionist went to find out if this was possible. Phone call at 2.30pm still waiting to hear back. This is absolutely disgusting that it has taken me since 10am this morning 5 phone calls later and still not sorted.

Blood results
24th February 2021A bit confused as to why I am now 8 working days post-appointment and no results posted on the website or when I phone the practice, when the website will be 5 working days.

Wonderful Dr Surgery
16th February 2021I have recently suffered with both physical and mental health problems and the GPS have been amazing , responsive and helpful. They have made a real difference to me . Just wanted to say thank you .

Try to check X-Ray report.
15th February 2021Trying to check a X-Ray report. Ten minutes on the phone holding as number 1 in the cue only for the service to hang up. Then tried the web site and it is no help, if I make an enquiry I have to check a box saying it’s not urgent. As I am having problems with my ankle I would like answer soon than not urgent.

4 hour reply
13th October 2020i sent in my request foran appointment 07;15 on 12/10/2020. i recieved a reply mid morning requesting more info, more info sent in . 1400 hrs recieved a call from dr fisher explaining he had a cough so was not in to work, explained my problem to him he agreed i needed andoctors appointment, said he would get somebody to ring me, 1700 hours no call so i rang surgery sorry you heve been forgoten saw a nurse decided i needed anti=biotics. went home and at 2000 hours was feeling ill. had to get ambulance to jph finished up having a test on my heart blood test etc thankfully i was ok. ifeel all this could have been avoided had i been seen within the 4 hour you display on the website.
