  This is a great hospital I have always been treated as a person and not a number on a conveyor belt. Which is why I choose JPH rather than NNUH

• Improper Covid and blood tests.

  After another fall I was taken to hospital and was surprised they wanted a swab the maskless kid who was doing it snatched off my mask and chucked it in the bin, he kept on going away and eventually took a swab He came back with a badly coughing man and set him next to me and later another man who only had a slight cough and set him right next to me again, eventually I went to the ward. A week later at home my phlegm turned to water and I thought I was going to die but four days later I had phlegm again but no taste of smell.On Another nasty incident was when I was sent home after a blood test which proved positive, I didn't hear the Paget phone call as I was semi conscious on the floor, I thought the the district nurse would save me but they hadn't been informed I was home.

  I had to wait a long time, over 3 hours. I came with my neighbour and the whole experience was disappointing and not satisfactory.

  The department is welcoming and the staff are friendly and helpful. It feels like the staff have time for you, they really took the time with my child's blood test. We were also seen throughout covid and the service was brilliant.

  We attended the hearing department for my son today, it was absolutely brilliant. There was no waiting around, the staff were really patient and friendly toward my son. They played games with him to help him feel at ease.
