Friendly staff, difficult to get appointment

If you're lucky to speak to someone between 8-8:30 you then have to wait for a call-back at an unknown time, often impractical if you work. It would be good to be able to call for an appointment any time during the day. The staff are friendly though, it's just hard to get an appointment if you work full time.

I am sorry to learn you are having problems when trying to book and receiving a telephone consultation call. I can appreciate it can be difficult whilst working. You can use the online system on our practice website to request an appointment. I am not sure if you are aware we also offer some evening and weekend appointments and these tend to run more on time and are outside of our 'normal working hours'.

Continuity is a problem

I think I'd rather have a GP you see - there are so many different ones - continuity is a problem. It is impossible to see people here

People want to see a Dr

I think one dr is insufficient I really feel people want to see a Dr - it is therapeutic in itself - you cant reassure over the phone with any conviction. When I did speak to a Dr about being dizzy and faint they asked me what I wanted them to do about it so I said BP and blood test and he said ok then.

They think they're above you

I think their attitude stinks - they think they're above you. I have to ring up and book they won't do it at front desk

Impossible to get an appointment

For three days l have phoned at 8 o’clock to try and get an appointment. I continually phone making an average of 25 to 30 calls and each time l am told the line is busy. By nine o’clock l give up as l know there won’t be any available appointments. Am in my seventies and can’t get up and spend every morning doing this. Although my problem is getting worse l take it l will have to just get on with it.

Needs Help

It is impossible to get an appointment to see/speak a gp at this surgery. You are told to go online and do a footfall form which makes it impossible for those without IT skills but by 9.30 most days this site will not let you do a footfall form as this this function closed off. Tried at 11.20 AM

Take repeat medication away without informing

No longer offer medication reviews with a doctor allow a chemist to do it and they take medications away without even informing you,

Misdiagnosed

I was misdiagnosed over the phone. My breast abscess was misdiagnosed. I am generally unhappy with the phone system. Generally all the staff are wonderful but the phone system doesn't work. Before COVID it was very good. Although there is a COPD nurse here, since COVID more appointments have been at Martham.
