New system easy to use
22nd October 2020I have had to contact the surgery for several things lately - quick appointment when necessary , return call within an hour over a answer within 2day matter and prompt arrangement of blood test with nurse . Notified as soon as appointment for asthma review could be sorted - impossible to do better in my view.

No access for Deaf patients

Gout
27th July 2020I was told i have gout and was given a blood test to see how much medication i need. This came back as no further action???

Doctors much better now
30th April 2019I have had ME for seven years now, and when I used to go to my GP they didn't understand the condition. However in the last year I have a new GP at the practice who is much better and takes time to hear about my symptoms.

Need another practice locally
28th April 2019Takes far too long to get an appointment, and really don’t like having to tell the receptionist why I need an appointment as I’m assuming she’s not a doctor and it can be embarrassing to talk about problems in front of all the other people in the queue.

Bad attitudes
28th September 2018It takes too long to book appointments, August I wanted an appointment - they offered October! Deaf Connexions tried to bring it forward but they switched doctor, I'd asked for a woman but they switched me and didn't tell me. I find the receptionist quite difficult, I've had a few arguments. Some are good but I've found some people's poor attitude dealing with deaf. Appointments are only 5 minutes and they need to be longer, feels rushed. Reception feels quite high - I can only see their eyes, it'd be easier if they stood up so I could see their face. I wanted to switch practice because of the attitudes but others are full.

Aware of shortcomings
23rd August 2018They are aware of shortcomings. My personal experience has been good. Reception is efficient and the GP has good attention.

Ongoing medical issues
23rd August 2018I have ongoing medical issues. Trying to get appointments is a nightmare. They say 'it's not urgent', so you have to wait a month. There are too many patients. The service once in is wonderful, but there's no point.

Having to call...
23rd August 2018I don't like the idea of having to call and wait for a call back. Blood tests can take a long time to book. The online appointment cancellation system does not work particularly well. There's only one member of staff on reception. How do they manage?

I can always get an appointment...
15th August 2018I can always get an appointment when I need it. The quality of service is good and they always do their best.
