• Shingles

  14th April I developed shingles, confirmed by a GP where I am an administrator. I rang The Mill as my go to surgery who promptly arranged for medication, also for top up pain relief 19th. I rang today 21st requesting a sick certificate for next week as still very uncomfortable. Nasty condition. ALL the ladies I have spoken to have been really helpful and courteous. My husband and I transferred to your surgery last summer from Heathgate, the best decision. I thankyou all so very much for your care to us both xxx

• Paramedic Ian is absolutely amazing

  Over the last few months with the winter viruses and sickness bugs I’ve had to call for appointments for my children. Sometimes you worry and your more conscious as you don’t want to burden the already stretched NHS (also work within the NHS), however on every occasion I was reassured by Ian that I’d done the right thing. He has a fantastic manner and make the children and parents feel at ease. Ian you truly are deserving of any acknowledgement you get. Thank you for your time, patience and hard work.

• Was great, has gone downhill

  I have been a patient at this surgery for decades (including at the old site with the legends Dr Newman, DrChen and Dr Waterhouse) and I have always praised the service. Unfortunately I feel like the surgery has gone downhill which is such a shame. The 8am lottery is stressful and if you ring after the receptionists cannot fit you in. I was told off by the reception team for contacting after 9am with sudden chest pain and when I saw the dr they told me off too. I didn’t want to trouble the 999 service if it was just my breakfast causing indigestion. As an elderly patient I struggle with technology and prefer face to face appointments as it takes me a little while to reach to answer the phone. Sometimes they do ring you back, Dr Prentice always tries again which is very appreciated. I miss the good old days but I do like the new building- very spacious and airy and my wife can fit her wheelchair in very easily

• Old Mill and Millgates

  Having had a really rough patch with my health over the last six months I wanted to leave a review to say how fantastic both the Old Mill and Millgates surgeries have been. Their professional care and kindness has been outstanding and I really would have struggled so much more without the support I have received. Drs Prentice, Cramer and Maleki have been fabulous ...very professional, thorough and kind. The reception team are exceptional..... nothing is ever a problem and I have always managed to get face to face appts. Jenny, Kim and the rest of the team are diary magicians! I don't know how they juggle it all with the constant demands. Debbie in the nursing team is also so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I feel very lucky to be a patient of this practice.

• Thorough treatment

  Paramedic Ian was really helpful, friendly and keen to proactively address my concern in his clinic appointment. The appointment I had booked in with the doctor (at a much later date) was not needed as a result of his treatment, meaning I have been referred to a dermatologist much earlier, saving me extended worry (and potentially giving early intervention in cancerous mole care)

  After having years of not sleeping or waking up after a couple of hours and not being able to get back to sleep leaving me feeling completely exhausted all the time and at my wits end I made an appointment with Dr Addison, who had been recommended to me. At my first appointment she listened to all I had to say and for the first time I felt someone was actually listening to me. Dr Addison sent me some pod casts to listen to so at my next appointment with her I would be fully informed to make a decision on a way forward. I can’t thank her enough, I feel I’m on the road to getting my life back again. I just want to say how grateful I am and thank you.
