  I care for 2 people, my daughter 170 miles away so constantly on the phone to me & my elderly mother who I have to drive to shops,appts etc plus sort any problems for her. So it was great to talk about this to some one who didn't judge me.

  It was nice to be given advice about what help is available. There is help if you know where to look for it and I didn't. Sometimes I felt so alone but now I feel more secure knowing there is help and advise available.

  Thank you for your comment. We work hard to ensure that carers are able to make the most of the different types of support that are relevant and available to them. It can feel very isolated being a carer, but we are here to help carers connect with help and other people who can make a difference.

  Thank you to carers matter Norfolk, I am blown away by the level of support this service provides. Knowing that someone is there at the end of the phone to speak to when things get all too much is invaluable.

  I was glad that I was referred to the service. Before my consultation I was in a dark place with a lot to cope with. Karen was an extremely sympathetic ear and gave me lots of practical advice for my unpaid caring role as well as signposting support from the Wellbeing Service. I have since been able to call on their support and have found their podcasts and webinars informative. I will also receive counselling and peer support. It is very reassuring to realise that there are services/people who have been through the same situation willing to help.

  I was contacted after a referral was made for me caring for my dad. Life has been a struggle and I really couldn't carry on the way that I was. Rebecca was patient, kind and compassionate. She supported me with my next steps. She was non judgemental and just wonderful. Thank you for your kind words, encouragement and support.

  We are really glad that we have been able to help you. Looking after someone can be very tough and it is important to us that carers are listened to, their needs understood and the relevant support is available, whatever their situation.

  We are very glad to have been able to help you. Looking after someone can be a very difficult and emotionally draining role. We really do recognise the importance of carers knowing they have support available to them whatever their situation, including when things are challenging for them.

  I was referred to Carers Matter, it was the first time I had heard of them. I spoke to a lovely lady called Hayley. She was very empathetic, kind and most helpful explaining to me the various services avilable. Its nice to know I can contact them at anytime if I need to. Thank you

  Other healthcare professionals have recommended the service to me. I was aware of the potential support they could offer - even just being someone at the end of the phone. The person I spoke with was kind and caring and showed real empathy. It was welcome to feel supported.
